Fancy a bit of SB3 racing in different waters?

We received following proposal from Oceanburo in Australia.
It could be a good idea to see if an Asia-Pacific Regatta could be jointly organised with the Australian fleet in the future. What do you think? (please reply to singaporesb3captain@gmail.com or leave a comment on the blog. Thanks)

In the meantime:
Airlie Race Week is Aug 15-19
Hamilton Island Race week is 21-28 (but the SB3 regatta is Monday 23 to Friday 27)
Charter rates for HIRW and ABRW as below ( sails on boats will be good Audi sets ) – as you’d appreciate transport/logistics costs make these charters more $$ than equivalent in Southern cities. Charter includes 2 days prior to regatta for training or set up if required. Boats will be delivered to site, rig down ready to launch and will have appropriate safety gear. Boats must be returned to us rig down on trailer ready to go etc etc. A bond of $1k will be required to be lodged by Credit card or surety ( if regular client ). Entry to regatta included.

ABRW - $2200.00 delivered ( 5 race days )

HIRW - $2200 delivered (note includes entry to coaching clinic – program is 2 days coaching with Adrian Finglas and others and 3 days racing

(Mon/Tues/Wed/Thur/Fri of Race week )
Combined - $4000.00 ( both regattas and coaching clinic )
Prices are inc gst
Bookings will need to be made by July 1 and deposited to guarantee a delivery

  1. Racing against the Aussies sounds great. What if we organized one race weekend in Singapore and one in Australia. Basically we could arrange so that both places had boats for the traveling sailor's

    Max OXCO.

  2. That's a great idea. To be developped this year for sure so that we can try and put things together in 2011 in my opinion.
