safety, whether afloat or ashore, and nothing, whether in the Notice of Race or

It is for the helm and crew of the boat to decide whether he / she is fit to sail in the
conditions which he / she will find. By launching or going to sea, and or staying at
sea, the boat skipper and crew confirm that they are fit for those conditions and the
crew is competent in them.
Nothing done by the organiser can reduce the responsibility of the helm or crew of a
boat nor will it make the organisers responsible for any loss, damage, death or
personal injury, however, it may have occurred, as a result include the Organising
Authority, the Race Committee, the Race Officers, patrol boats and beach masters.
The provision of patrol boats does not relieve the helm and crew of a boat of their
responsibilities.
Overboard – Crews are also reminded of their primary responsibility to offer to assist
any man overboard at any time. If they stand by or assist redress can be claimed.

CHANGING PLAYGROUND?

Dear friends,

Special invitation made to the SB3 Owners by ONE15 Marina to the inaugural One15 Southern Islands Challenge on 25 and 26 Sep 2010.

The racing area will be over in front of East Coast beach.
ONE15 said they would love the SB3 fleet to be there, and they would be happy to help with the boat transfers by towing (I presume it's cheaper, safer and faster to put them on a truck trailer, to be discussed...), and even transporting the trailers over from RM, so that the boats can be dry stored over the weekends.

We probably need to arrange for a rib helping the boats to enter/leave the Marina as there is a lot of current there.

Who is up?

++

ONE°15 Marina Club will be the organizer for the Regatta, together with the Pesta Sukan Regatta on the 18th and 19th September 2010. We will be having a skipper’s briefing on Friday, 17th September 2010, followed by welcome drinks to allow all participants to enjoy the spirit of pre-race celebrationsJ

The Club will be offering free berthing for the weekend before, during and the weekend after.

We would be very happy to accommodate your needs and assist in the logistical preparations and transfer of the boats over to ONE°15 Marina Club.

Kindly advice.

Best Regards, Andrew

WESTER CIRCUIT 2010 - DAY 1

Despite not being able to race on a seperate course as it was expected, a last minute lobbying on the RO team (thanks Jono) enabled us to have 4 windward/leewards in one day with only 2 turns instead of 3. The conditions were consistent enough and we hope for the same wind (or more) next week end.

Provisional results after day 1 (Su Me did not race but will be there 21/22 Aug)
